In the house

Cooking is chemistry with heat, baking soda neutralises acid and releases gas, soap has one end that likes water and one that likes grease, and rust is slow oxidation.

  • Never mix bleach with ammonia or acid: both combinations release toxic gas.
  • Refrigeration works because evaporation absorbs heat.

Reading labels

Natural and chemical are not opposites; everything is chemicals. The dose and the specific compound decide safety, not the origin or the length of the name.
