So that decisions improve.

What to include

The effect size in business units, the uncertainty, the sample and how it was obtained, what was pre-specified, and what the analysis cannot tell you.

  • Lead with the decision implication, not the method.
  • A visible interval prevents a point estimate being treated as exact.

Saying no

Sometimes the honest answer is that the data cannot settle the question at this sample size. Saying so protects the credibility of every answer you do give.
