Skim then focus

Read the first and last paragraphs and the opening sentence of each middle paragraph to build a map. Then read closely only where the question points.

Marking the text as you go makes locating easier later.
Reading the questions first works for factual retrieval and not for main idea.

Time

Answer questions that reference a line number first; they are fastest. Leave broad questions until you have read enough to answer them anyway.
