Where it pays and where it costs.

Good fits

First drafts, summarising, rewriting, translating, explaining unfamiliar material, generating options and boilerplate code. Low cost of error, high cost of blank page.

  • Keep a human accountable for anything published or acted on.
  • Do not paste secrets or other people's personal data into a consumer service.

Poor fits

Final legal, medical or financial answers, anything requiring exact recall, and decisions about people. The failure mode is fluent and confident, which is the worst kind for those uses.
