Meetings

The largest recoverable block.

Before agreeing

A meeting needs a purpose, a decision to reach, and the people who can make it. Without those it is a status update that could have been written.

  • Default to thirty minutes and end early when done.
  • Decline politely and ask for the notes when your presence adds nothing.

Running one

Circulate the question in advance, keep a visible list of decisions and owners, and end by reading them back. A meeting with no owner produces no action.
