Core concepts

Dharma as right conduct, karma as action and consequence, samsara as the cycle of rebirth, and moksha as release from it. Devotion may focus on Vishnu, Shiva, the Goddess or others.

The Vedas, Upanishads and epics are foundational texts.
It has no single founder, creed or central authority.

Practice

Ritual at home and temple, pilgrimage, festivals such as Diwali and Holi, and paths of devotion, knowledge and action that different schools emphasise differently.
