The single sentence
Write what you want the audience to think, feel or do afterwards, in one sentence. Everything in the talk either supports it or comes out.
- If you cannot state it, the talk is not ready to build.
- Three supporting points is plenty; five is too many to recall.
Audience first
What do they know, what do they care about, and what will they do with this? A talk that ignores those is a document read aloud.
