Handling questions
Often the most useful part.
Managing them
Repeat the question so everyone hears it, answer briefly, and check that it landed. Long answers to short questions lose the rest of the room.
- Say you do not know and offer to follow up; guessing costs credibility.
- Take a hostile question at face value and answer the reasonable version of it.
Timing
Questions at the end give a clean talk; questions throughout give engagement. Say which you want at the start so nobody has to guess.
