Open with why it matters, state the message, give the supporting points with examples, then close by returning to the message and what happens next.

  • Signpost transitions clearly; listeners cannot scroll back.
  • Repeat the key message at least twice in different words.

Openings

A concrete example, a surprising number or a question the audience already has. Credentials and agendas are the weakest openings and the most common.
