Structure
A shape people can follow.
A reliable pattern
Open with why it matters, state the message, give the supporting points with examples, then close by returning to the message and what happens next.
- Signpost transitions clearly; listeners cannot scroll back.
- Repeat the key message at least twice in different words.
Openings
A concrete example, a surprising number or a question the audience already has. Credentials and agendas are the weakest openings and the most common.
