Recovery

Your email account controls password resets for everything else, so it deserves the strongest protection. Recovery codes should be stored offline before they are needed.

  • Keep a secondary contact method up to date.
  • Sign in with a provider is convenient and ties accounts together.

Digital estate

Consider what happens to accounts, photos and subscriptions if you cannot access them. Most services now have a process, and it must be set up in advance.
