Basics worth knowing
The address bar shows the real domain, cached files can serve stale content, and extensions can read everything you do on a page.
- Clearing the cache is the standard fix for a site showing an old version.
- Install few extensions and check what permissions they ask for.
Private browsing
It hides history on that device and nothing more. Your network, your employer, your provider and the websites still see the activity.
