It can be misused

Reading people accurately is a capability, not a virtue. The same skills serve manipulation, which is why some of the highest scorers are not people you would trust.

  • Watch for emotional skill used to bypass rather than address objections.
  • Charm is not evidence of good intent.

When to get help

Persistent low mood, anxiety that limits daily life or emotions that feel unmanageable are not skill problems. They deserve a professional rather than a self-help framework.
