Not all decisions deserve analysis.
Reversibility
If a decision can be undone cheaply, make it quickly and learn from the result. Reserve deliberation for the ones that are expensive or impossible to reverse.
- Most decisions are reversible and are treated as though they are not.
- Speed on small decisions buys time for large ones.
Close calls
When options look equally good, they probably are. Deliberating further costs more than the difference between them, so choose and move.
